c. 1775 Revolutionary War EraAmerican Revolutionary War Era Canteen with Original Leather Strap Fully Intact |

c. 1775 Revolutionary War Era, Wooden Staves with Four Iron Bands attached by nails, with a 1/2” Metal Spout at top center lacking plug yet complete with its original leather strap attached with loops on two Iron Bands placed on either side at top, Fine or better. This Canteen/Powder Barrel is very rare having its original Leather Strap still fully intact, attached with loops on two Iron Bands placed on either side at top. It measures 6.5” high x 4” wide x 8.5” long having some natural age splits in the bottom. The Strap is still subtle, yet shows some expected cracking to the leather, the four iron bands are fully intact yet somewhat loose, with signs of wear commensurate with age and actual use. Rarely located having attachments for a strap and with the leather strap intact. |
