Sullivan-Fischer AJ-M5. Printed in black on white Silk Ribbon measuring about 6.5” x 3”. At center is a Portrait Bust of Jackson surrounded by a black-ruled square frame with scalloped corners; Above, printed legend in small script reads: “The Union Must & shall be Preserved”; Below: “ANDREW JACKSON / Born near Waxhaw Settlement South Carolina / March 15th 1767 / Died at the Hermitage June the 8th 1845.” Boldly printed with crisp detailing of the portrait and text. The top and bottom edges have some brown discoloration that could be either matted over or trimmed off. There are some folds across the portrait and is housed under clear plastic for prior display. This type is very scarce; we’ve handled two others yet it has been 17 years since our last offering! |
