Civil War Era, Political Handcrafted Wooden “Rifle” Parade Torch, with a globular metal top Torch with wick, Very Fine.
This unusual political “Rifle” Parade Torch measures about 63.5” long and consists of a Handcrafted wooden staff formed into the shape of Rifle, with a globular torch affixed to a swivel that screws in at the end of the barrel. This was most likely used in a patriotic parade in the mid 19th century. Despite some light surface wear, this very unique “Rifle” Parade Torch might suggest a museum status. |
