c. 1780-1800 Memorial Locket with Gold-Gilt Frame, Extremely Fine. An intricately designed Memorial Locket that measures about 1.75” x 2.5” including the intact gold-gilt suspension loop at top. Its central design is complete with exceptional displayed hair-work on either side of six twisted gold shafts and other decorations and light green painted effects all set within its white natural material backing mount. The reverse appears to have once had a glass backing, or not. The central design is exceptional and as made with a black painted surround having gold-gilt applied decorations as shown. |
