1769 Almanack Electricity Experiments by Dr. Benjamin Franklin with Paul Revere's Engraved "Eclipse" Illustrations
1769-Dated Imprint titled, THE NEW-ENGLAND ALMANACK OR, LADY'S AND GENTLEMAN'S DIARY, FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1769. By Benjamin West. Boston: Printed by Mein and Flemming, Complete, Very Good.
THE NEW-ENGLAND ALMANACK OR, LADY'S AND GENTLEMAN'S DIARY, FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1769. By Benjamin West. Boston: Printed by Mein and Flemming. (1768), 24 pages, complete. This pamphlet measuring 4.25" x 6.75". This original almanac has a three page article by Benjamin West on Electricity, and includes the experiments by Dr. Benjamin Franklin.

This historic Almanac is missing its stitching and all of the pages are loose and the title page is slightly faded and has some small tone spots and a small scribble on the bottom margin. There is some very light, minor, scattered foxing otherwise good condition. Of additional importance are Four small Metal Cut Illustrations of Eclipses, which are listed in PAUL REVERE'S ENGRAVINGS by Clarence Brigham, as most likely having been cut by Paul Revere. That significant and highly regarded reference book states that a number of Paul Revere's cuts were billed to Mein and Flemming in 1766 which also would have been used in the two different publications they issued for 1768, including this Bickerstaff's Boston Alamanack. Although not in the finest of condition, the important pages and illustrations are fundamentally nice and presentable.
