1832 & 1833 New York Militia Election of Officers Signed
1832-1833, Pair (2) of Partly Printed Documents, Official Election Returns for Officers of the New York Militia, both are Signed by Brigadier General Lyman Curtiss, Choice Very Fine.
This lot consists of 2 Partially Printed Official Reports, with integral address areas on the back, both signed by Brigadier General Lyman Curtiss on the front and again on the back as a free frank. Both are dated at Camden, NY.

1. August 28, 1832-Dated, measuring 7.25" x 13," reports that Warren Herkimur was elected Major of the 17th Regiment, 1st Division of the 4th Brigade of the New York State Militia. This document is in nice condition, lightly age toned, with some small fold separations, and trimmed at the bottom.

2. July 1833-Dated, measures 8" x 13" and reports 5 elections of junior officers of the 17th and 19th Regiments. This document is in nice condition, complete, with a fold separation at the bottom center, and some paper loss and a tear in the upper left where the wax seal tore away.

A pair of contemporary Military Documents from a time when the Militia officers were elected. Provenance: Ex: Dr. John Robertson Collection and Exhibit of American Stampless Covers, with the original exhibit page. (2 items).
