1914 German "Vivat!" Silk Ribbon, Choice Mint condition.
15.5" x 2.5," printed in black ink on colorful gray silk. Made by the Verlag Amsler u. Ruthardt of Berlin. Printed in German, this seems to be a commemorative ribbon made on behalf of the Red Cross (we've seen at least thirty different types). Vivat! ribbons commemorated a number of different battles from World War I (in this case, Longwy in 1914). Different artists were recruited for each ribbon. A great display piece.
