Outstanding 19th-century Colorful Lithograph Advertising Cards, each about 4.75" x 2.5", featuring 9 different images, all with advertising text printed on the verso -- two printed for French and Spanish-language audiences: "HAIR VIGOR D'AYER" (mermaids collect Ayer's Hair Vigor tonic from a shipwreck; French ad copy on the back), and "PECTORAL DE CEREZA DEL DR. AYER" (two small children play with a huge bottle of cherry pectoral; ad copy in Spanish on back). Other images and text for Ayer's Sarsaparilla, Cherry Pectoral, Ague Cure, and Ayer's Pills. A wonderful variety and the first we have encountered in a foreign language! (9 cards). |
