1816 Massachusetts Governor's Race Campaign Broadside
1816-Dated, Political Anti-Federalist Massachusetts Broadside: "Who is the Hero of Saratoga... General Dearborn or Brooks?" "Federal misdoing", Massachusetts, Choice Very Fine.
Boldly printed, impressive original Political Broadside measuring 20.5" x 13.5" on a very clean one-sided sheet, having 4 columns. Superb political content, providing "proof" that General John Brooks, who was nominated by the Federalists to run for Massachusetts Governor, was not the hero of the Battle of Saratoga during the Revolutionary War.

This early Anti-Federalist Broadside lists four serious charges against Brooks, including, "Federal misdoing" which were never proven. Brooks won this election against General Henry Dearborn, and was reelected governor 6 times! An important content political Broadside from Massachusetts. Excellent condition overall being bright and bold in eye appeal that would be excellent for any display.
