8.5" x 10.75" sepia-toned image on original mount, 13.25" x 17.5". Signed and captioned in the negative by "Langaki." Langaki, also known as "Zangaki," worked independently in Egypt during the 1860s, then formed a partnership around 1880 with "H. Arnoux." A neat, vintage photo of a lone British ship sailing through along the canal. Foxing to mount, and wear to corners. Very attractive image. |
