This beautiful, highly decorative handcrafted Revolutionary War Era Stirling Silver Pill Box measures about 2.5" x .75" x 1.75". The lid is inlaid with Mother of Pearl and has a highly detailed Hand-Carved image of a bird resemblibg to an American Eagle. Box is tear-drop shaped with the jeweler's mark stamped into the inside of lid and bottom. Hand carved scrollwork around the outside of box. Excellent craftsmanship of the period, no doubt made for a wealthy client. Unique. |
