1734 New Jersey Survey of Indian Purchase Land Signed by Surveyor General James Alexander of "the last Indian purchase made by the Council of Proprietors" plus Alexander had a Connection to Peter Zenger’s New-York Weekly Journal Newspaper “Freedom of the Press” Trial

JAMES ALEXANDER (1691-1756), was a prominent lawyer and statesman in colonial New York and New Jersey. He served as Attorney General of New York, 1721-1723, and also served as Attorney General for New Jersey. Shortly after 1718, he was appointed “Surveyor” for New York and New Jersey and surveyed the boundary line between the two colonies.May 1, 1734-Dated Colonial New Jersey Manuscript Survey of 50 Acres of Land in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Signed by James Alexander, the Surveyor General of the Colony, his son, William Alexander, aka “Lord Stirling,” an important Major General in the Revolutionary War, Very Fine.

1863 Civil War ALS Regarding a Prisoner Release Endorsed by John A. Campbell the former U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Later Appointed as Assistant Confederate Secretary of War by CSA President Jefferson Davis Signed “Asst Secy of War”

JOHN ARCHIBALD CAMPBELL (1811-1889). American Jurist in Georgia and Alabama, where he served in the State Legislature; Appointed by President Franklin Pierce to the United States Supreme Court in 1853; Resigned at the beginning of the American Civil War, and became an Official of the Confederate States of America; in October 1862, Appointed Confederate Assistant Secretary of War by Confederate President Jefferson Davis; Served six months in a military prison at war's end; Secured a Pardon and resumed his law practice in New Orleans, where he opposed Reconstruction.

1864 Alexander Hamilton Jr. Signed Check, Son of the Historic American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton

ALEXANDER HAMILTON JR. (1786-1875). Son of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton; Graduated from Columbia College in 1804, just weeks after his father's death in a duel with Aaron Burr, Studied law and commenced practice in New York City, was with the Duke of Wellington's army in Portugal in 1811-1812, and returned to the U.S. on hearing rumors of impending war with Great Britain; Appointed Captain of US Infantry in 1813 and served as Aide-de-Camp to Gen. Morgan Lewis in 1814; In 1822 he was appointed U.S. District Attorney for East Florida, Later practiced law in New York City, and represented Aaron Burr's wife in her divorce proceedings against his father's killer in the 1830's!

Joshua Humphreys - The "Father of the United States Navy" 1795 Regarding Designing & Constructing the First Frigates of the United States Navy Important Autograph Letter Signed

JOSHUA HUMPHREYS (1751-1838). American Ship Builder and Naval Architect in Philadelphia who was the Constructor of the Original Six Frigates of the United States Navy, also known as: "The Father of the American Navy". When Congress passed the Naval Act of 1794, which provided for the construction of six Frigates, it called on Humphreys to design them. He was appointed Naval Constructor on June 28, 1794 and began work on the Ships. His six Frigates were: USS United States (1797), USS Constellation (1797), USS Constitution (1797), USS Chesapeake (1799), USS Congress (1799) and USS President (1800).
