John D. Rockefeller & Henry M. Flagler Signed "Standard Oil Trust" Share Certificate Also Signed Jabez A. Bostwick

JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER (1839-1937). American Business Magnate and Philanthropist, he was one of the Wealthiest Americans of All Time and its first Billionaire. Founded the Standard Oil Company in 1870 and ran it until 1897, and remained its Largest Shareholder. The Standard Oil Trust was the First Great Monopoly in American Business History, and in 1911 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it violated the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, and ordered the Trust dismantled. It was broken up into 34 separate Companies, which included Companies that became Exxon Mobil and Chevron.

HENRY M. FLAGLER (1830-1913). American Industrialist and a Founder of Standard Oil. He was a key figure in the Development of the Atlantic Coast of Florida, and Founder of the Florida East Coast Railway, building Luxury Hotels along the Route of the Railway as it moved South to Miami and ultimately to Key West. Considered the Father of Miami.

JABEZ A. BOSTWICK (1830-1892). A Founding partner of Standard Oil, serving as the Company's Treasurer.
