1	JAMES ALEXANDER (1691-1756), was a prominent lawyer and statesman in colonial New York and New Jersey. He served as Attorney General of New York, 1721-1723, and also served as Attorney General for New Jersey. Shortly after 1718, he was appointed “Surveyor” for New York and New Jersey and surveyed the boundary line between the two colonies.May 1, 1734-Dated Colonial New Jersey Manuscript Survey of 50 Acres of Land in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Signed by James Alexander, the Surveyor General of the Colony, his son, William Alexander, aka “Lord Stirling,” an important Major General in the Revolutionary War, Very Fine.	$2,000 - $3,000
4	SAMUEL CRANSTON (1659-1727). Royal Colonial Governor of Rhode Island in office (1698-1727), Elected to office 30 times (twice in 1698), and served as R.I. Governor longer than any other individual; Goldsmith by trade admitted a Freeman in 1684, was Assistant in 1696, Major of the Colony forces in 1698, and was elected Governor in 1698.	$1,800 - $2,400
6	William B. Cushing (1842-1874), United States Civil War Navy Officer best known for Sinking the Ironclad Ram CSS Albemarle in a daring nighttime raid on October 27, 1864 at Plymouth, NC, for which he received the thanks of Congress and became a national hero. In January, 1865, he helped lead the Navy landing force in the assault on Fort Fisher. He died at age 32.	$800 - $1,000
