Son of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton; Graduated from Columbia College in 1804, just weeks after his father's death in a duel with Aaron Burr, Studied law and commenced practice in New York City, was with the Duke of Wellington's army in Portugal in 1811-1812, and returned to the U.S. on hearing rumors of impending war with Great Britain; Appointed Captain of US Infantry in 1813 and served as Aide-de-Camp to Gen. 19	JOSHUA HUMPHREYS (1751-1838). American Ship Builder and Naval Architect in Philadelphia who was the Constructor of the Original Six Frigates of the United States Navy, also known as: "The Father of the American Navy". When Congress passed the Naval Act of 1794, which provided for the construction of six Frigates, it called on Humphreys to design them. He was appointed Naval Constructor on June 28, 1794 and began work on the Ships. 29	COMMODORE JOHN RODGERS (1772-1838). Senior Naval Officer in the United States Navy who served under Six Presidents in the Quasi-War with France, both Barbary Wars in North Africa, and during the War of 1812 with Britain, John Rodgers fired the First Shot of the War aboard his flagship, the frigate USS President, and played a leading role in the recapture of Washington, DC after the Capital was Burned by the British; he later served as Secretary of the Navy in 1823.	$600 - $800
