The Mechanics and Farmers Bank in the City of Albany. Albany, New York. Five Dollars. July 29, 1812-Dated. CFT. PCGS graded Very Fine-30 PPQ.

Haxby NY-75 C32. Plate L. Rarity-5. This pretty note has no Imprint, yet has the style after Whiting. At the bottom center is a vignette of a Seated Male, with ledgers and the bank charter. At the left end FIVE is in a shaded panel. At the right end, block letter FIVE DOLLARS is prominent. This note is fresh and bright, having vibrant eye appeal and stunning grade for this note issue with wide margins that suggest it was probably printed from a single note plate.
