Anti-President Abraham Lincoln Effigy Made to Burned

c. 1860s Civil War Period, Anti-President Abraham Lincoln, Handcarved Hand-Painted Wooden Effigy Figure in his depiction, known to be used to burn in a Anti-Lincoln protest bonfires, this example measuring 14” tall, Very Fine.

Very Rare (as most were burned or destroyed) Hand-carved and Hand-painted Political Motivated Wooden Doll measuring 14” tall x 3” wide. This example is made with the depiction of Abraham Lincoln, shown wearing his iconic “Stove Pipe” beaver hat and dressed in his standard black formal presidential suit. This Anti-Lincoln Effigy is made of pine wood, typically meant for burning at protest rally fires. This specimen is hand-painted in brown, black, white, and beige colors with signs of age and light handling, plus minor scattered natural age splits in the wood from shrinkage. Overall, this important Lincoln effigy remains intact and solid. A highly important piece of Lincoln and American Political memorabilia.
