Iron Short Sword or Pole Arm Blade With Maker’s Mark

c. 1600-1700s, Colonial to Revolutionary War Era, Iron Short Sword or Pole Arm Blade weapon with Crown over Heart Maker’s Mark, Very Fine.

This 17th century or later Iron Short Sword or Pole Arm Blade weapon measures about 16.5” long overall with a 11.5” single edge weapon use blade. Maker’s mark of a “Crown” over a “Heart” located near the tip of the blade. The sword head has a contiguous socket for pole attachment allowing this blade to be used either by hand as a short sword, or attached to a long pole. Natural rich silver-gray deep patina adds eye appeal for display.
