1827 New York Official Imprint titled, “AN ACT To Regulate the Sale of Lottery Tickets”, 4 pages (3 printed), 12.5” x 8.25”, Very Fine.

Imprint is Boldly Headed: “No. 19. - In Senate, - January 12, 1827. -- An Act to Regulate the Sale of Lottery Tickets.” This Act also reflecting portions required for an application, three pages on a single large folded sheet, rear of second leaf is blank. Some wear, humidity tone at upper left, minor splitting at top of the spine fold having two small file punches, one in correction in margin in a contemporary hand. A very rare original New York Act providing for the licensing of vendors of Lottery Tickets in the State of New York. Exceedingly Rare. OCLC locates only the copy at the American Antiquarian Society and highly important for specialized collectors of early American Lottery Tickets. The first we have seen and offered.
