March 10, 1856-Dated, Autograph Letter Signed, "S. R. Mallory", on this “Senate Chamber” headed Handwritten Letter, (Washington DC), March 10, 1856, 1 page, measuring 7.75" x 9.75", Very Fine. Letter is to: U.S. Navy Commander Oscar Bullens. This clean Letter which is nicely written in rich brown ink and easily readable reads, in full:
"Dear Sir, Though I find it impossible to reply to all the letters I receive upon Naval matters, & must trust to the charities of their writers for my apology, I write to thank you for you sensible & judicious views, expressed in your favor of the 5th Inst - which shall receive due attention. -- Very Resp'y, Yr. Obt. Servt., -- (Signed) S. R. Mallory"
