c. 1849 California Gold Rush Period, “Away To California” Theme Child’s Creamware Tea Set Plate, Gold Rush related, Choice Extremely Fine. This original California Gold Rush Theme Plate measures about 4 1/8” in diameter. It has a brown transfer of a full Sail Sailing Ship, meant to be a Gold Rush Era “Clipper” with slogan reading: “Away To California”. A child’s tea set plate, although we have never seen a Full Set offered. The transfer image is strong and in very nice in eye appeal. No reverse markings. A very rare circa 1849 great Gold Rush related collectible. |
