(1840) “HARRISON AND REFORM” Section of glazed Cotton Chintz fabric Printed in Red promoting William Henry Harrison for President in the 1840 presidential campaign, Choice Extremely Fine.

c. 1840 HARRISON AND REFORM rich Red Printed section of glazed white cotton fabric promoting William Henry Harrison for president in the 1840 presidential campaign. A large section measuring 13” x 14" with excellent eye appeal being in excellent condition with just a few scattered pinholes and trivial faint tone at the Cabin. Illustrated with flowers surrounding a portrait of Harrison and his typical Log Cabin and barrel of "HARD CIDER" being his presidential campaign motifs. An excellent example for framing and display due to its unusually rich red color. This design is illustrated in “Threads of History” Item #145, page 105 where a smaller section is shown that was printed in blue. That example is housed in the Cornell University collection.
