This Order to prevent alcoholic beverages on board Navy ships, reading in part: “Wines, ales, and other liquors not prohibited by law on board vessels of the Navy”. This along with a series of other orders, clearly made it obvious that the government would no longer tolerate alcohol of any type on or near any military vessel. |
