Abraham Lincoln “Skeleton Leaves” Stereocard Memorial |

c. 1865 Post Lincoln Assassination, Stereocard Photograph Memorial titled, “Skeleton Leaves” with President Abraham Lincoln’s Bust Image at center, Published by L.W. Schellhaus, Coldwater, MI., Very Fine. Stereoview Photo Green Card that measures about 7” x 3.5” and features a small central Bust of Abraham Lincoln facing left within a wreath of ferns and flora. Light wear around the outer card edges yet the images are nice and clean. The white leaves have a skeletal appearance, hence the name “Skeleton Leaves”. Interesting to note this memorial was published by Mrs. L.W. Schellhaus of Coldwater, Michigan, “Publisher of Fern Leaf Photographs Consisting of Home and Sunday School Mottoes, Crosses, Wreaths, &c.” A very scarce image. |
