c. 1860 Civil War, Original Artwork Drawing, Chalk on Board, of Union and Confederate States of America Flagged Navy Ironclads and Rams, Artist Signed “Franck,” Framed, Choice Extremely Fine.

Hand-Drawn Original Civil War Period Artwork, Chalk on board, its Drawing measuring 18.75” x 12.75” (by sight), undated, nicely matted and professionally framed to fully 28.5” x 22.5” viewed through special UV Plexiglas. The pending CSA against Union Ironclad battle appears about to begin. This depiction showing a group of 5 Ironclads and Rams, apparently sailing out of port, with still other Mast Sailing Warships at ready shown in the background. No information present regarding the artist, yet appears to be contemporary to the Civil War period. Choice detail and clearly visible Stars and Stripes plus CSA Flags on the warships. Scattered areas with the appearance of tone is smoke coming for the ships engines. A very accurate pleasing Civil War era Naval engagement artwork, ready to hang on display.
