Haverstraw, New York. November 1, 1814. Three Cents. Unknown Merchant. Uncut Pair. PMG graded About Uncirculated-55. Harris 3. Exceedingly Rare appearently Unique, Haverstraw, NY- Unknown Issuer, 3, Nov. 1, 1814 Uncut Vertical Pair. This uncut pair of notes is from Haverstraw, a small town located in Rockland County, northeast of New York City. This is an uncut pair from an unknown merchant. Its holder notes stains, yet there is only some light tone to the bottom margin selvage. It appears that if this pair were cut, each individual note would likely grade Choice Crisp Uncirculated. As such likely unique, being the only example of this merchant and Three Cents design we have located, offered or seen. Certainly, this issue and denomination would make a great addition, as lacking in all New York currency collections. |
