c. 1790 American Colonial to Federal Period, Memorial Pinback Broach with Hand-Painted Portrait of a Gentlemen, Enameled surround and Gold-Gilt Frame, Choice Very Fine.

This Memorial Broach measures about 1.5” x 1.75” complete with its Original pin. Central image of a miniature Hand-Painted portrait of an unknown gentleman being the subject on a white natural substance, set within an very decorative mount with gold-gilt decorations. No maker, date or place. Its internal backing paper appears to be from an early period books printed text.
