c. 1800 Federal Period, George Washington Memorial Period, Oval URN Style Mourning Button, Silvered Copper, with Original Shank, Choice Extremely Fine.

A sharply detailed appearing Oval button measuring 16.7 mm x 13.0 mm with a fully Silvered face displaying a large funeral URN at center with outer design, with its original shank straight and fully intact. The back has a natural toned coppery patina as shown. This type is often associated with George Washington due to its period of manufacture, yet is of a more generic type. A nice example.
