c. 1830 Boot Knife with Diamond-shaped Thrusting Blade, Stag Horn Handle, and Ornate Fittings, Extremely Fine.
Impressive, high-quality Boot Knife that measures 9” long and has a 4.25” long blade. Nicely detailed, with beautifully worked Brass front band and pommel. The blade is double-edged as was blued long ago. Everything about this knife seems original, from the wonderful natural patina on all surfaces to the aged Stag horn handle. This knife has a comforting heft and solid, 1/4” thick blade completing its choice design appearance. |
