Model 1852, United States Naval Officer's Dress Sword & Scabbard, “Conqueror” by N.S. Meyer Inc., Blade with “Star of David” Design from Germany, Near Mint.

This ornate U.S. Naval Officers’ official Dress Sword is Model 1852 (not dated), this model required from years 1852 to 1942. The N.S. Meyer company sold these blades from 1875 to 1992 with the “Conqueror” Trademark registered in 1935. The “Star of David” with required “PROVED” slug in center at the base of blade is noted, together with the Trademark and “N.S. Myer” on its verso. The stainless steel blade gleams brightly, being in beautiful condition, no oxidation present. The Brass wrapped Sharkskin handle is in virtually mint condition. The Blade and Scabbard measure about 31.5" with the full overall length measuring to 36". Some trivial slight dings to the reverse side black areas of scabbard from light use hardly distracts. Bright overall, creating excellent eye appeal.
