This decorative Rifle’s barrel measures 35.5", .32 caliber, with an iron octagon rifled barrel exhibiting some corrosion and natural age patina. The lock has decorative engraving. All brass furniture includes a fine patch-box, butt plate, toe plate, side plate, ramrod pipes and trigger guard. Set triggers. The Tiger Maple stock has good figure and has Thirteen Decorative Silver Inlays. Wood ramrod. 49.5" over length. In good mechanical working order. A rare women's or child's made half stock Kentucky rifle. Beautiful curly maple stock in excellent condition. Fancy brass patchbox and toe plate, with 13 Silver Inlays. Overall length 49.5 inches with 35.5” barrel in 32 caliber. The barrel has light pitting, it remains in excellent mechanical condition. From the style of the ornate patchbox the gun, it appears most likely made in Virginia or Pennsylvania. Our consignor states this lovely gun was purchased in Highland County, Virginia. |
