September 1, 1777-Dated Revolutionary War Period, Manuscript Document Signed, “Jos Twithill” (by Order), Report of a Committee on services done in the Revolutionary War for Yorktown and Ticonderoga, Very Fine.



“The amount of the services done in the Present War as they were estimated by the committee chosen by the town for that End ... The first eight months service and all other shorter services within this state at 10 shillings per month.

Those that enlisted into the years of services and went to York (Battle of Yorktown) and Ticonderoga (The Battle of Fort Ticonderoga/Siege of Fort Ticonderoga) at 12 pounds

The 4 months service to Ticonderoga and services to York to be set at 3rd committee and officers have agreed upon. - (Signed) Jos Twithill by Order.”
