(1789) George Washington Inaugural Buttton, Brass, Albert-10A, Script “GW” with Linked States Border, Legend reading: “LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT” is encircled by the large thirteen linked “States” impressed border design, 34 mm, with its fully straight original shank intact, Very Fine or better.

A very nice example of this popular thirteen linked “States” design major type. It is clean and well detailed, having some micro salt & pepper slight roughness to the surfaces, as shown. All details are clearly seen and its color is a natural medium golden-brass. With its fully straight shank being perfectly in place, this is a very collectible button.
