c. 1864 Civil War, Union General Joseph Warren Revere Carte de Visite, being the Grandson of famous American Revolutionary War Patriot Paul Revere, Jr. Silversmith, Engraver & Patriot, “Warren” hand-written under the image, Very Fine.

JOSEPH WARREN REVERE (1812-1880). Served in both the U.S. Navy and the Army, who served with distinction as a Navy Lieutenant during the Mexican War, and as a Brigadier General during the American Civil War; he was the grandson of Paul Revere, Silversmith, Engraver, and famous Revolutionary War Patriot. A nice clear image on card having good contrast, no maker’s imprint. Very rare image of the Grandson of famous American Revolutionary War Patriot Paul Revere, Jr.
