MONITOR GRAND MARCH, 1862-Dated Civil War Color Sheet Music, composed by E. Mack and dedicated to Captain John L. Worden (Commander of the USS Monitor), Published by Lee & Walker, 1862, Philadelphia, Framed, Choice Very Fine.

This Civil War period sheet music was composed by E. Mack and dedicated to Captain John L. Worden. Published by Lee & Walker, 1862, Philadelphia, 13.5” x 10.5” (by sight), complete yet framed to display only the historic cover illustration. JOHN L. WORDEN was the Commander of the USS Monitor in the Civil War. A colorful black, red, and white image on the cover portrays the battle between the Monitor and the Merrimac. Professionally newly framed, measuring fully to 18” x 14.75” the historic Naval Battle Scene illustration between the Monitor and the Merrimack seen through special UV Plexiglas and is ready to hang on display. A near identical illustration is shown on the dust jacket cover of the book “IRON DAWN” : the Monitor, the Merrimack, and the Civil War Sea Battle That Changed History, by Richard Snow.
