1862-Dated Civil War Period, First Edition, Historic Printed Sheet Music Titled, "PRESIDENT LINCOLN'S Grand March - Dedicated To THE UNION ARMY" by F.B. Helmsmuller, New York, Custom Framed, Choice Very Fine.

Highly Colorful Lithograph measuring 10" x 13" the Sheet Music has 4 pages of music, disbound, the Front Cover display framed, plus it has its full front and back covers. The vividly colorful front cover is most impressive displayed on the front side of the frame, the printed sheet music partially displayed on the reverse of the frame, both sides are professionally framed, shown through special UV Plexiglas. It displays the wonderful central image of Abraham Lincoln draped under an American Flag styled banner, with allegorical figures representing "WAR" and "PEACE" standing on either side. This is considered the most colorful piece of Sheet Music honoring our 16th President printed during his lifetime. There is one small unobtrusive partial blue oval stamp in the extreme lower left corner of the cover.

The legend below the Portrait reads: "Respectfully Dedicated to the Union Army" and has icon images of the Goddesses of Peace and War, standing to each side of the central Portrait of the bearded President Lincoln. The author, identified as “F.B. Helmsmuller,” was the leader of the 22nd Regiment Band. Other examples of this Civil War Period, "President Lincoln's Grand March" have sold in the past for upwards of $2,000 in the past. This is a nice example that is expensively display framed and ready to hang, well worth adding to a quality collection. Ex: EAHA Auction of June 28, 2013 Lot 232, sold for $1,300 and subsequently double-view framed.
