(PAUL REVERE). “PAUL REVERE’S ENGRAVINGS,” Reference book by Clarence S. Brigham, 1969 2nd Updated Edition, published by the ATHENEUM, NY, Extremely Fine.

This masterful reference contains 262 pages, original hardcover and considered the “Bible” for collectors of Paul Revere’s Engravings. Original full-color dust-jacket on a nice used hard cover copy. First printed by the American Antiquarian Society in 1954, this edition has been further revised and refined. Examples of any and All Known Existing Engravings by Revere are illustrated, many being in full color and including some larger fold-outs. Book itself is in very good condition. The history of Revere and his engravings is magnificently detailed from the Copper-Plate print of The Boston Massacre to his engraved Colonial Paper Money, and so much more! Now well out of print for decades.

A very important excellent historical work, always in popular demand due to his Patriotic connection with the Sons of Liberty, Boston Massacre of 1770, Boston Tea Party of 1773, his historic ride of April 14th, 1775 with warning of the British to Lexington and Concord with the resulting American Revolutionary War, and much more.
