April 5, MDCCLIX (1759) Virginia Act, Ten Shillings, PCGS graded Very Good-10.

Fr. VA-28. This extremely rare 1759 French & Indian War Period Virginia currency Uniface note has a whole and solid appearance with decent details and signature on its face. The holder states details, design redrawn, pieces replaced, backed, yet look for yourself. It is Signed by Ben(jamin) Waller and Phil. Johnson, Printed by William Hunter. Measuring 85mm x 65mm. The normally blank reverse has been cosigned numerous times in period pen as was typical of the money being passed in commerce at the time. Some edge chips were skillfully rebuilt and conserved since its original appearance in 2005 at Ford, but all to the better. Rare as a denomination and as a note on this Act, lacking in virtually all collections.
