October 16, 1780 Act, Virginia Currency, “An Act for the more effectual and speedy clothing the Army.” Three Hundred Dollars or Ninety Pounds, PCGS graded Very Fine-25.

Fr. VA-199. An important and historic Patriotic Revolutionary War Period printed on thin laid period rice paper. This pleasing note that has full margins on all four sides and choice eye appeal for this Continental Army related Virginia issue. Its holder states details, stain. Yet look for yourself, there is no stain, just some typical slight tone to the paper. Nicely Signed by B. Stark, J. Hopkins, and B. Webb. Uniface, measuring 100mm x 80mm with the important text: “An Act for the more effectual and speedy clothing the Army.” being very clear and strong. One of the nicest examples of this popular historic issue one might locate and worthy of adding to a quality Colonial Currency or Virginia Paper Money collection.
