State of Virginia, May 1, 1780, Act of Legislature, Three Spanish Milled Dollars, PCGS graded Choice Uncirculated-63 PPQ.
Fr. VA-173. A lovely note which others might grade Gem, as there No qualifiers other than “Contemporary Annotation.” was added by the PCGS “grader” not apparently understanding that the signature on the “Guarantee” line for the United States was supposed to be written there, as illustrated. This note is fresh and clean having ample margins both face and back. Its special paper is watermarked “CONFEDERATION”. Signed by J. Boush and John Lyne; Countersigned on verso by F. Webb and Printed by Hall and Sellers. Two-Sided, with a black face, printed in both red and black on the verso. Measures 93mm x 72mm. Handwritten date. Full margins on both side, a trifle uneven but full nonetheless. Crisp paper and boldly inked vignettes. The signatures and handwritten date are likewise deep and well-met. You’ll probably not find a finer example of this issue anywhere. An exquisite note!
