1700's, Woodblock Illustration Printing Plate, Depicting a Rural Scene of a Woman Killing a Duck, Extremely Fine.
Likely dating to the second half of the 1700's, based upon its style this original, hand-engraved, unsigned, 3" x 2.25" wooden printing block shows a farmyard scene in which a woman is killing a duck for dinner. This block is well engraved and in extraordinary condition, with no cracks or scratches on the face. An attractive Colonial Era printing block featuring an idyllic country scene.
