1819 + 1828 Three Historic Content Government Imprints
1819 to 1828, Group of Three Early Government Pamphlets: (2) "Message From The President of the United States" and (1) "Letter From The Secretary of War," Very Fine.
Imprint from 1819 requests copies of correspondence between Andrew Jackson and the Department of War and the Governor of Georgia relative to a court-martial against Captain Wright for the destruction of a Chehaw Indian village; a 10-page pamphlet from 1828. An 8-page, 8.5" x 5.75", transmits the opinion of the Attorney General "upon the construction of the Award of the Emperor of Russia Under the Treaty of Ghent..."; and a 10-page pamphlet from 1828 contains a letter from the Secretary of War detailing costs and topographical elements of a proposed "Chesapeake and Ohio Canal to Alexandria in the District of Columbia."
