1759 Benjamin Franklin Philadelphia Printed Booklet Commissioned by The Society of Friends of Philadelphia
1759 French & Indian War era, Benjamin Franklin Printed Imprint titled: "THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS, Reduced from its Ancient and Modern CORRUPTIONS; And restored to its PRIMITIVE SOUNDNESS AND INTEGRITY...", written by William Dell, Philadelphia, PA, Very Fine.
This scarce Benjamin Franklin Imprint measures 7.25" x 4.75" and contains 43 pages, 5th edition of the 1647 original, commissioned by The Society of Friends of Philadelphia. This Imprint was printed in Philadelphia in 1759 by Benjamin Franklin and his partner David Hall. The interior pages show some minor age tone and are still very crisp and clean, no wraps, in overall pleasing even condition. Benjamin Franklin printed tracts are getting increasingly scarce. This example is in above average quality, that is quite exceptional for display. Miller 702; Campbell 634; Evans 8338.
