c. 1744 and 1746 Dated, Printing of Massachusetts Bay Colony Laws, Six pages, Military and Tax plus more, Choice Very Fine.
Grouping of Massachusetts Bay Colony Laws printed from 1744 and 1746. These genuine 18th Century pages from a larger volume consists of pages 115-122 from 1744, and pages 223-226 from 1746. Content contains various Acts and Laws for example:

Funds for "putting the Province in a better Posture of Defence"

An Act to prevent "all traiterous correspondence with his Majesty's Enemies"

An Act for establishing the wages & etc. for persons in the service of the Province (with mention of wages for Castle William which was in Boston Harbor)

An Act for "supplying the treasury for defreying the charge of the late intended Expedition against Canada..."

On page 116 Governor William Shirley and the "Province of Massachusetts-Bay" are clearly referenced.

Each Printed Document page measures about 12.5" tall x 8.25" wide. All pages have original deckled edges consistent with the era, and some toning. The 1744 pages appear somewhat brighter than the 1746 pages. Overall, this is an excellent collection of early Colonial Massachusetts Bay Laws. Scarce.
