Complete Sheet of Italian Playing Cards by A. Viassone

c. 1920s-1950s, Uncut Sheet of Italian Playing Cards, by A. Viassone in Turin, Deck of 40 Cards, Choice Mint.

This is a complete, uncut sheet of 40 Italian playing cards, measuring 17.25" x 27.5" and printed by "A. Viassone - Torino" (Turin). This deck has 10 cards, numbered 2 through 7, plus a Jack, Knight, King and Ace, in suits of Coins, Cups, Swords and Batons. The back consists of a simple plaid design in dark green. The multicolored faces of these cards are done in an old style, but this sheet was actually printed in the mid-1900s. The Alessandro Viassone printing firm may have been in business as early as 1830, and was still in business in 1979. This particular sheet is in Mint Condition, still bright and bold. A colorful and attractive set which would look magnificent framed for display.
