Manuscript Document on Vellum, measuring 19.75" x 25", English, with a faint crown stamp at bottom left. Toned and stained vellum, seals from upper left and bottom have been removed--remnant of upper left seal still in evidence. Crisp, flowing script, somewhat faded in places, but quite legible overall. No signatures are evident, but the principal executors are identified in the text. Providing for the repairs to a mill owned and operated by "Finch... and Thomas Hollingworth," who are indebted to "John Calcraft." An interesting document, attesting to the manner in which business, and debts, were handled in early 19th-century England. |
